How can you help?

We need members in our organization enabling us to raise money for projects as well as to apply for financial support from other organizations. The annual price for a membership is 100 DKK (50 DKK for students). You will find the instructions on how to become a member at the bottom of this page. If you want to actively take part in the work of our organization, you can also find the instructions on how to join as an active volunteer.

What do our volunteers do?

In the Danish-Afghan Humanitarian Association a group of our volunteers locate used furniture and arrange the collection of donated items. Another team collects the furniture and loads it for storage. At a later time, all the collected furniture and other items need to be repacked to a container - and here it is of utmost importance that everything is packed as compact as possible. In addition to this, we have volunteers who help with marketing, PR, IT and communication.

Which qualifications are we looking for?

We do not require any specific qualifications in our volunteers. Everyone who wants to join is more than welcome. Motivation, reliability and a good work ethic is more important than prior experience. If you have qualifications in a specific field or good contacts it is, of course, most welcomed and you should mention it in your application.

How to join as a volunteer?

All you have to do is fill out the Email form found at the bottom of this page. It is a good idea (not a demand) to write a short something about your motivation behind wanting to become a volunteer, if you have any thoughts on what you would like to work with, how much time you have available and how you think you can contribute to our organization. In this way we make sure we find the perfect job for you. To join as a volunteer, we require that you are a member of the organization. You can join simultaneously with applying to become a volunteer.

What does it cost?

Students: 50 DKK annually

People in employment: 100 DKK annually

Families: 150 DKK annually
